Welcome to Acorn Park
Acorn Park is a unique 30-acre private estate where children and young adults across the breadth of the autistic spectrum can live, learn and play in a holistic, happy & safe environment.
Our wraparound care and teaching approach enhances our children’s lives, making them as independent as they are able to be, and having a positive impact on the whole family.
Our classrooms are well resourced, with very small class sizes and a curriculum designed to meet their needs. Our experienced autism-specific approach means that every young person’s learning needs, communication requirements and social skills are met through a bespoke provision in the classroom and our skilled on-site team of therapists.
For those who live in our residential homes, our living arrangements are welcoming, modern and homely; offering well-equipped facilities and numerous afterschool activities. As well as our community houses, we have a cluster of small flats for older teenagers and young adults who are able to live semi-independently.
Our dedicated, knowledgeable team of onsite therapists are part of each child’s everyday life - at home, at school and during leisure activities which guarantees that each individual makes progress.
The layout of Acorn Park means our students can walk safely to and from school, enjoy our adventure playgrounds and outdoor space and engage with our Care Farm animals. We enjoy frequent trips to local villages and the zoo, and regularly enjoy activities around Thetford Forest and the seaside towns around East Anglia.
Today would be Oscar's last day at Middle school before transitioning to High School. Thank god for Acorn Park School and the fact that we don't have to face that emotional trauma and upheaval in September. The staff there all do such a wonderful job with him, we are so lucky. They have made such a change to my sons life and I am so grateful. Parent
